The LFH is the Women professional league, created on April 13^rd 2008 by the FFHB in order to associate the professional clubs and the FFHB in a prolonged effort of structuring, promotion and development of women's professional handball.

The LFH created communication and marketing tools and the regulations needed to support the project of professionalization of the women's handball.

Both clubs and the FFHB have defined several objectives: 

• sit women's handball 1^st sport in the French women's team sports,
• raise the level of French clubs in the European cups,
• raise the level of the players and professionalize their management (medical, technical, retraining),
• develop their own resources,
• perpetuate the results of national teams.

Since 2012, the LFH was particularly involved to actively promote action concerning the integrity of competitions, through a communication to the players and coaching, but also the public audience.
