The FFHB is a nonprofit association, founded in 1941 and recognized as a charity since 1971. The FFHB has received delegation from the French Ministry of Sports to organize, promote and develop Handball in France and its related activities (mini-handball, beach handball).

As such, the FFHB organizes :

• competitions which issued the titles “Champions de France de handball”,
• arbitral activities,
• management and official representation of France handball national teams.

Historically, FFHB affirms its fundamental commitment to defend and protect the integrity of handball competitions, against all forms of risk (doping, fraud, anti-social behavior, violence).
